Omicron Gamma Gamma Charter Members

The Omicron Gamma Gamma (OGG) Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on March 10, 1986, by eleven visionary men committed to service, leadership, and uplift in the Mid-Cities area of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. What began as a small graduate chapter based in Arlington, Texas, has grown into one of the most influential and impactful graduate chapters in the region—now proudly recognized as the second-largest graduate chapter in the DFW metropolitan area.

From its earliest days, Omicron Gamma Gamma was built on a foundation of service, excellence, and brotherhood. The chapter quickly established itself as a pillar of support within the fraternity, serving not only the surrounding

community but also acting as a strong and encouraging force for local graduate and undergraduate Omega Psi Phi chapters.

Through consistent dedication and results-driven service, OGG has earned numerous accolades at the district level, including:

  • Ninth District Reclamation Chapter of the Year

  • Ninth District Retention Chapter of the Year

  • Ninth District Social Action Chapter of the Year

  • Ninth District Chapter of the Year

The chapter reached a historic milestone in 2007–2008, receiving its highest honor to date—being named the 2008 International Chapter of the Year for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. This prestigious recognition solidified Omicron Gamma Gamma’s reputation for excellence on a global fraternity stage.

Today, OGG continues to make a lasting impact across the Dallas–Fort Worth community through a wide range of social action and service initiatives. Signature efforts include:

  • Mentoring male youth

  • Feeding the homeless

  • STEM education and enrichment programs

  • Participation in fraternity-mandated programs such as the Charles Drew Blood Drive and Voter Registration, Education, and Mobilization Drives

Education remains a cornerstone of the chapter’s mission. To date, Omicron Gamma Gamma has donated more than $171,400 in scholarship funds to incoming college freshmen across the United States—and remains committed to expanding this legacy of academic support.

A major source of scholarship funding comes from volunteering at AT&T Stadium concession stands, along with additional fundraising initiatives. Proceeds from these efforts allow OGG to sustain scholarships, support mandated fraternity programs, and give back locally through annual Thanksgiving and Christmas community giveaways.

In 2025, the chapter launched its United We Serve Initiative, further amplifying its community impact. Since its inception, this initiative has enabled Omicron Gamma Gamma to serve over 400 families, reinforcing the chapter’s unwavering commitment to service above self.

For four decades, Omicron Gamma Gamma has remained steadfast in its purpose—uplifting communities, empowering youth, supporting education, and exemplifying the principles of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. As the chapter continues to grow, its mission remains clear: to serve, to lead, and to leave a lasting legacy of excellence.
